Partner Code of Conduct
Effective date: September 9, 2026 Β· Binding on all registered Partner accounts
ChurchConnect Partners serve in some of the most meaningful environments possible β houses of worship. The churches on our platform trust that every Partner they invite into their ministry will uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and care.
This Code of Conduct is a binding part of your Partner Terms of Service. Violations may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent removal from the Platform. When in doubt, ask yourself: "Would I be comfortable if the church pastor and the ChurchConnect team could see exactly what I'm doing and why?"If yes, proceed. If not, reconsider.
1. Professionalism and Respect
- Treat every church staff member, volunteer, and congregation member with dignity and respect at all times.
- Recognize that you are a guest in a place of worship. Be sensitive to the church's beliefs, traditions, and culture, even if they differ from your own.
- Maintain a courteous, positive, and collaborative attitude throughout every engagement.
- Avoid any language, humor, or behavior that could be considered offensive, divisive, or inappropriate for a ministry setting.
- Disagreements with church leadership or staff must be handled professionally and privately β never in front of congregation members.
2. Reliability and Punctuality
- Arrive on time β or preferably early β for every engagement. Sunday services, rehearsals, and ministry events depend on your presence.
- If you must cancel or are running late, notify the church through the ChurchConnect platform as soon as possible β no later than 2 hours before the engagement.
- Repeated cancellations, no-shows, or habitual tardiness may result in account suspension.
- Come fully prepared with any equipment, materials, or resources you committed to bring.
- If something unexpected prevents you from completing a booking, communicate immediately and work with the church to find a resolution.
3. Communication
- All pre-booking and post-booking communication must occur through the ChurchConnect platform messaging system.
- Respond to messages from churches within 24 hours on business days.
- Be clear, honest, and transparent about your availability, scope of work, and any limitations.
- Do not share personal contact information (personal cell, personal email) with churches for the purpose of arranging off-platform services.
- Do not disparage other Partners, ChurchConnect, or churches in communications or on social media.
4. Child and Vulnerable Adult Safety
- If your work brings you into contact with minors or vulnerable adults, you must comply with the church's own child safety policies in addition to ChurchConnect's requirements.
- Never be alone in a room with a child or vulnerable adult without another trusted adult present (two-adult rule).
- Never photograph, video, or share images of minors in your care without explicit written parental consent.
- Any suspected abuse, neglect, or inappropriate conduct involving a minor must be reported immediately to church leadership and, where required by law, to the appropriate authorities. You may be a mandated reporter under California law.
- Physical discipline of minors is strictly prohibited under any circumstances.
- Partners who have not completed the required background check may not serve in any capacity involving children.
5. Appearance and Conduct on Premises
- Dress modestly and appropriately for a church environment. When in doubt, err on the side of formal or business-casual attire.
- Do not consume alcohol or use any controlled substances before or during any engagement, regardless of whether you are on church property.
- Refrain from smoking or vaping on church premises or within view of the congregation.
- Do not bring guests, family members, or personal companions to an engagement without prior approval from the church.
- Leave all areas where you work in the same or better condition than you found them.
- Respect posted rules, signage, and restrictions on church property.
6. Confidentiality
- Keep all non-public information about the churches you serve β including staff names, internal matters, congregation size, finances, or pastoral concerns β strictly confidential.
- Do not share photos or videos taken during an engagement on personal social media without written permission from the church.
- Do not discuss one church's internal matters with another church.
- Confidentiality obligations survive the termination of your Partner account.
7. Scope of Work and Solicitation
- Perform only the services agreed upon in the booking. Do not expand the scope of work without the church's prior approval and an updated booking.
- Do not solicit church staff, volunteers, or congregation members for personal business, side work, or services outside the Platform.
- Do not promote other businesses, personal ministries, or products while serving unless expressly invited to do so by the church.
- Do not accept gratuities in cash or kind that could create a conflict of interest or expectation of preferential treatment.
8. Conflict Resolution and Reporting
- If a conflict arises during or after an engagement, make every effort to resolve it respectfully and directly with the church contact.
- If resolution is not possible, report the issue through the ChurchConnect platform. Do not leave a negative review as a substitute for reporting a genuine problem.
- Threats, intimidation, or retaliation against any church, staff member, or ChurchConnect employee are grounds for immediate account termination.
- Report any safety concern, policy violation by a church, or misconduct by another Partner to helpcc@churchxconnect.com promptly.
9. Consequences of Violations
ChurchConnect takes violations of this Code seriously. Depending on the severity and frequency of the violation, consequences may include:
First Violation
